Funeral services for Mrs. Emmerline Crochet Broussard, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Parker officiating.
Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday; and at the church Saturday from noon until time of services.
Mrs. Broussard died at 1:42 p.m., Thursday, February 13, 2014 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Mrs. Broussard was a lifelong Jennings resident. She attended Jennings High School. She was a faithful member of the Jennings United Methodist Church since 1934 and was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She worked at Silvermans, Ruths Coffee Shop on Main Street, Moms Cajun Kitchen, Jeff Davis Living Center and Brenda & David Donald.
Survivors include her three daughters, Jane Ellen LeJeune of Jennings, Carrie Mulling and husband Karl of Mandeville, Alice Tindol and husband Howard of Lacassine; her two sons, Robert Broussard and wife Donna of Moss Bluff, Richard Broussard and wife Kelly of Jennings; two sisters, Elodie Papillon and Hellen Crochet both of Jennings and one brother C.P. Crochet, Jr. and wife Betty of Jennings;ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Broussard is preceded in death by her parents, C.P. Sr. and Marie Lorena LeJeune Crochet, her husband, Harold W. Broussard and sister, Ellen Crochet.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jennings United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Childrens Home, the American Heart Association or the Affiliaed Blind of Louisiana.
