Emily Guidry

A Celebration of Life memorial visitation for Emily P. Guidry, 24, of Welsh, will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 10:00 a.m.

Emily was born on May 1, 1998, in Crowley to Heather Menard Guidry and Marshall Guidry.  Emily was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Welsh High School in 2017.  Emily was her sister’s best friend and was the world to her fiancé.  She had a kind and brave soul with an adventurous spirit.  She took on the navy and started teaching at Space Camp.  She loved music, teaching herself how to play the ukulele.  Emily was a passionate, knowledgeable, and determined collector of rocks and crystals and had amassed a grand collection.  She was the kindest person you’d ever meet, making her an excellent gift giver.  She was loved by many and never alone.  Emily was somebody who was always there when you needed her.  She tried to leave a positive impact on everyone she met.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Heather Guidry of Jennings; her father, Marshall Guidry of Kinder; fiancée, Cameron Masson of Welsh; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Sue Menard; grandfather-in-law, Larry Breaux, Sr; sister, Anna Guidry of Roanoke; two brothers, Caleb Guidry of Welsh and Ryan Guidry of Neenah, Wisconsin and Uncles and Aunts, Scott (Donna) Menard, Keith (Amanda) Menard, Kayla (Josh) Oliva, along with many cousins.

Emily is preceded in death by her uncles, Kenneth Guidry and Jay Menard and grandparents Sybil and Allen Guidry.
