LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Emery Conner, 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will be in the Istre Cemetery near Morse. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Monday; and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Conner died at 2:00 a.m., Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his residence in Morse. He was a resident of Morse six years moving there from Roanoke. He was a retired Driller from Noble Drilling Company with 37 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Helen Istre Conner of Morse; two daughters, Nikki Conner Guidry of Carlyss, Rebecca Conner Martin of Lake Arthur; one son, Scottie Allemand of Lake Arthur; six sisters, Betty Conner Price, Thelma Jean Schexnider and Judy Conner Istre all of Lake Arthur, Lucille Conner LeJeune of Jennings, Margie Conner Buerman of Waynesville, Missouri, Earline Conner Doucet of Roanoke; three brothers, Douglas and Terry Conner of Lake Arthur, Mike Conner of Iowa, LA; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mr. Conner is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Hilda Trahan Conner; and three brothers, Alex Conner, Jr., Ted Conner and Donald Conner.
