Ella Mae Fruge

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mae (Nanny) Duhon Fruge, 85, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Fruge died at 12:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in the Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings. Mrs. Fruge was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a high school graduate. She loved to sew, cook, sing, travel, and go on vacation. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, and the Coalition Choir. She is survived by one daughter, Angie Ewing and husband Michael of Jennings; three sons, Robin Fruge and wife Marie of Jennings, Timothy Fruge and Roger Dale Fruge both of Lake Arthur; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Fruge is preceded in death by her parents, Gabe and Sidonia Duhon; her husband, Fernest Fruge; one son, Ronnie Fruge; and two brothers, Ravis Duhon and Lee Ray Duhon.
