Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Gail Doucet Burleigh, 65, of Hathaway, will be held on Tuesday, September  20, 2022, at Miguez Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Ravey-Parsley cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Burleigh was born on August 20, 1957, in Jennings to Albert and Agnes Seilhan Doucet, Sr. She was a lifelong resident of the Jennings/Hathaway community. She enjoyed baking, camping, coloring, and sewing.  Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Bobby Burleigh; daughters, Winona Burleigh, Agnes (Travis) Oliver, Jacqueline Burleigh; sons, Bobby (Heather) Burleigh, ll, Michael (Holly) Alaniz; sisters, Elsie Reynolds, Veronica Doucet; brothers, Albert (Darlene) Doucet, Jr., Tony Doucet; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alfred, and Allen Doucet; two grandchildren, Savanna and Alexis Burleigh; and one great grandchild, Ezra Lee Burleigh.
