It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Elaine Cart LeJeune.  She was called home to her heavenly father on March 22, 2023.  Elaine was born on February 20, 1946, to Elson Cart and Mabel Reed Cart of Tee-Mamou.  She was a graduate of Iota High School and worked as a legal secretary for 20 years.  She was a member of Crossway Fellowship Church.  She enjoyed shopping, playing games, and spending time with family and friends.

Elaine is survived by her husband Buford James LeJeune of Jennings, LA; her daughters, Tara Cart (DJ) of Iota, Jessica Dupre (Alvin) of Carencro and Emma Trahan of Iota; her sons, Blaine Arabie (Marilyn) of Evangeline, Seth Lege of Shreveport; her grandchildren, Javan Parker (Brianna), Jonah Parker, Jeret Parker, Vaughn Johnson, Haley Johnson (Justin), Kendyll Johnson, Brennan Arabie, Zachary Arabie (Katie), Quinton Trahan (Tanner), Caleb  Sarsfield and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elson and Mabel Cart, and sister Marja Nell Cart.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA., on Friday, March 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Kerry Doucet officiating.  A private burial will follow at the Southwest LA Veterans Cemetery.
