Funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Dupont, 96, of Jennings, will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel in Jennings at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Entombment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. 

Elaine was born in Washington, LA, on October 19, 1926, to Victor LaFleur and Cora Lee Soileau. She passed away on June 9, 2023, at 6:37 a.m. in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Jennings and loved her job as a homemaker. Elaine was such a wonderful person with a huge heart. She loved her family deeply and will always hold a special place in our hearts. 

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter-in-law, Amy Dupont of Houston; son-in-law, Nolan LeLeux of Jennings; sister, Mary Jane Dupree of Opelousas; grandchildren, Terri (Ricky) LeBlanc of Lutcher, Dusty (Miss Avia Hatfield) Young of Jennings and Kodi (Daniel) Kibodeaux of Lacassine; her special adopted daughter, Nora Malone of Dequincy; twelve great-grandchildren, Ricki Lynn, Tre’, Kayli, Shayli, Lakyn, Koryn, Zeth, Zachary, Ridge, Treyc’, Trevor and Ally Elaine and nine great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, EJ Dupont; daughter, Sandra LeLeux; son, Christopher Dupont; sisters, Eunice Guillory, Belle Fortier and Laura Jane Bloxham; brothers, John, Melvin, Jessie, Duffy, Ken, and Paul LeFleur. 

Carrying Elaine to her final place of rest will be B.J. Cormier, Griffin Hains, Trevor Kibodeaux, Landon Bourque, Zeth Young and Brett Darbonne. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Ridge Druilhet, Tre’ LeBlanc, Logan Kibodeaux, and Ally Elaine Kibodeaux.
