Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Effie Mae LeBleu Cormier, 81 at 11:00 a. m., Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Celsius Offor officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be held today, Friday, April 20, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Saturday visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Cormier died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 1:40 p.m. at her residence. Mrs. Cormier was a native of Duralde, La. and lifelong resident of Jennings. She was a retail clerk and homemaker. Mrs. Cormier was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Ladies Altar Society, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post # 3686. She enjoyed working with her flowers, talking on the telephone, visiting with people, dancing, bingo and playing cards. She is survived by a daughter; Bealinda ( Michael) Doucet of Iota, LA., a son; Robert (Theresa) Cormier of Hathaway, LA., and a sister; Rita C. LeBleu of Basile, LA., two grandchildren; Kimberly (Greg Spanky ) Lessigne, Robbi (Chad) Chiasson, four great-grandchildren; Caleb and Reagan Chiasson and Gabe and Court Lessigne. Mrs. Cormier was preceded in death by her parents; Wickles and Theia Duplechin LeBleu, her husband; Chester Cormier and two brothers; Lootsy and Rogers LeBleu. Pallbearers will be her six nephews.
