Edward "Rawhide" Trahan

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Edward Rawhide Trahan, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 16, 2012 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m., Sunday until time of services Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Trahan died at 11:50 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2012 at his residence in Lake Arthur. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a high school graduate. He was an electrician and a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited and IBEW Local 861, and Lake Arthur Fire Department. Survivors include five daughters, Emma Jean Trahan and husband Dickie of Lake Arthur, Shirley Ann Trahan of Lake Arthur, Mary Anne Broussard of Lake Arthur, Blanche Marie Roy of Andrus Cove, Tina Sue Monceaux and husband Mickey of Lake Arthur; four sons, Stephen Joseph Trahan and wife Phyllis of Welsh, Daniel Ray Trahan of Lake Arthur, Gabe Wendell Trahan of Lake Arthur, David Michael Trahan and wife LaDonna of Lake Arthur; 26 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabe and Agnes Crader Trahan and one son, Kenneth Wayne Trahan.
