Edward John Broussard

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Edward John Broussard, 84, will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Anthony Mausoleum. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Broussard died at 8:02 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his daughters residence in Lake Arthur. Mr. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a retired rice farmer. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Cursillo and the Lake Arthur Hunting Club. Survivors include one daughter, Sonia Williams and husband Wade of Lake Arthur; two sons, Raymond Troy Broussard and wife Tammy of Carlyss, John E. Broussard and wife Margaret of Lafayette; one sister, Ethel Seagraves of Lake Arthur; one brother, Wilbert Broussard of Lake Arthur; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Broussard is preceded in death by his parents, Lucius and Estella Bourne Broussard, his wife, Rose Broussard, three brothers, Daniel, Edsel and Ellsworth.
