A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Ebertha Crochet, 78, of Jennings will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. William Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Crochet will begin on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday and continue until time to depart for the church.

Mrs. Crochet was born on April 20, 1944, in Elton to Edward and Cammie Verrett.  She could always be found in the kitchen baking. But there was nothing she loved more than spending time with her family, dancing around the house with her grandchildren to Elvis.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and canning anything she could. She couldn’t wait for the bookmobile to pass so she could exchange her library books. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Marvin Crochet, Jr. and his wife Buffie of Hathaway; and Ryan Crochet and his wife Shay, also of Hathaway; her grandchildren, Bryan (Hailey) Trahan, Tim Morgan, Melissa (Everrett) Pousson, Adam Crochet, Anna Crochet, Shelby (Alex) Fruge, Keeley Fruge, Sydnee Simon and Tasha Crochet; great grandson, Trevor Trahan; sister-in-law, Marie Verrett; and best friend, Joan Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin Crochet, Sr.; parents, Edward Verrett, Sr. and Cammie Verrett; daughter, Darla Fruge; brother, Edward Verrett, Jr. and sister Ethel Crochet.
