Earline Delcambre

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Earline Guidry Michon Delcambre, 89, of Lake Arthur, on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Jay Alexius officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Delcambre will be Monday, May 14th from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Delcambre was born November 15, 1928 in Perry, Louisiana. She was a high school graduate of Kaplan High School, Class of 1946 and has lived in the Lake Arthur community for over 60 years. She was a homemaker all of her adult life. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Loretta (Alfred) Duhon of Jennings and JoNell (Jimmie) Hebert of Lafayette; one son, John “JD” (Thelma) Michon of Conroe, Texas; son-in-law, Eugene Allemand; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Delcambre was preceded in death by her parents Rene and Marguerite Porter Guidry, husbands J.A. “Peyank” Michon and Alcide “Speck” Delcambre; 2 daughters, Beatrice Alleman and Allen Rose Michon; 3 sisters, Imay Harrington, Ophelia Calais and Melva Abshire; 6 brothers, Dennis, John, Cebra, Jessie, O’Neil and Melvin Guidry; one grandchild, Monica Michon and one great grandchild, Timberlee Pellerin.
