JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Earl Joseph LaBouve, 66, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., today, Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. LaBouve died at 8:51 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He was born June 1st, 1945 in Hathaway, LA, married his soul-mate and best friend, Beth, on May 5th, 1967 and had three wonderful sons. Known as Pop to many, he was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and worked as a plant operator, oilfield mechanic, and driller. He will be remembered as a jack of all trades . His biggest enjoyment was being with family and friends. He enjoyed visiting and drinking coffee. His grandchildren were his world, and he enjoyed planting gardens with them. Pop will always be remembered as a loving, caring, giving, compassionate man with a heart of gold and will be missed by many. His survivors include his wife, Beth, three sons, Earl Joey LaBouve, Jr. and wife Jana of Nederland, Texas, Steven LaBouve and wife Michelle of Hathaway, Jeffrey LaBouve and wife Ashley of Hathaway; five sisters, Eula Mae Roussell of Iowa, LA, Ann Tazie Doucet of Cheek, TX, Pearl Mallett of Iowa, LA, Jane Castille of Carylss, Louella Mueller and husband Henry of Beaumont, TX; three brothers, Herbert LaBouve and wife Carol of Jonesboro, AR, Richard LaBouve of Evangeline, Wilford LaBouve of Jennings; six grandchildren, Breanna, Steven, Jr., Jacob and Lilly Grace LaBouve of Jennings, David and Emma LaBouve of Nederland, TX; special nephew, Herbert LaBouve, Jr. and wife Janelle of Port Neches, TX; sister-in-law, Marlene LaBouve of Lake Arthur and several nieces and nephews. Mr. LaBouve was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Ida Laviolette LaBouve, brothers, Nelson, Fernest, Ernest and Emerson LaBouve and sister, Eunice Seamons. Pallbearers will be Wayne Wood, Gerald Wood, A.J. Wood, Jr., Shayne LaBouve, Blaine Boudreaux, Walter Harvey, Randy Davis and Kenneth Putt Young. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Gary, Allen Ordoneaux, Steven, Jr., Jacob and David Jack LaBouve, Herbert LaBouve, Jr., and Brad Derks.
