Dwight "Boo" Matte

Graveside services for Mr. Dwight Steven “Boo” Matte, 64, will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 in the Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.

Mr. Matte passed away at 10:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2020 in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Hospital in Lafayette.

Mr. Matte was a lifelong resident of Jennings and retired in construction. He was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was an extremely avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees, LSU Tigers and Jennings Bulldogs, and loved to play golf. His undeniable passion for helping others and bringing a smile to someone’s face is what he will mostly be remembered for.

Survivors include his son, Trent (Whitney) Matte of Ragley; sisters, Paula (Wayne) Landry and Jerry Jeffers both of Jennings; and two granddaughters, Kamry and Olivia Matte.

Mr. Matte is preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Lottie Francois Matte.
