LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Dwain “Ace” Gary, 51, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2015 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Cremation will follow services. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Gary died at 10:15 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2015 in the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley. Mr. Gary was a lifelong resident of the Jennings/Lake Arthur area and was a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1982. He was a member of the Delta Waterfowl, was a supporter of the Optimist Club and their Christmas Tree Project. He coached girls and boys t-ball, little league and softball teams. Mr. Gary was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bourque Gary of Lake Arthur; his mother, Dorothy “Dot” Sonnier Gary of Jennings; three sisters, Roxanna Looney and husband Phillip of Jennings, Sharon LeBlanc and husband Gary of Welsh, Donna Thibodeaux and husband Earl of Jennings; three brothers, Darren Gary and wife Gwen of Roanoke, Brian Gary and friend Brenda of Moss Bluff; Mark Gary and wife Tiffany of Denham Springs; his special niece, Kylie Whitman; and his special nephews, Gage Whitman and Jarron Whitman all of Lake Arthur. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Gary.
