JENNINGS 

Funeral services for Dr. Robert L. Louviere, 73, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial with Military Honors will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Dr. Louviere died at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Visitation will be held in the church from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with service to follow.

Dr. Louviere was a lifelong resident of Jennings and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of the Jennings High School, class of 1960; and received his Doctorate Degree in 1967 from LSU. He retired as an obstetrician/gynecologist. He loved to fish, travel, take and share pictures. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Louviere; one son and daughter-in-law, Jared  and Brook Louviere of Columbus, MS; one brother, John “Pelou” Louviere of Jennings; and two grandchildren, Kinsey and Bryce Louviere.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Whitney and Mary Richard Louviere.
