Dorothy Mae Jeanise

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Mae Bergeaux Jeanise, 78, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 16, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., Friday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Jeanise died at 12:37 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a homemaker. Mrs. Jeanise was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved to volunteer at the Jeff Davis Living Center, visiting and helping residents get around in their wheelchairs. Survivors include her husband, Shelby Jeanise; three daughters, Brenda Jeanise of Hathaway, Terri J. Andrepont of Lafayette and Carol Jeanise of Lake Charles; one son, Rickey Jeanise of Lake Charles; one sister, Jean Barnhardt of Mauriceville, TX; one brother, Wilford Bergeaux of Orange, Tx; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is peceded in death by her parents, Willis and Felicia Comeaux Bergeaux, one daughter, Janet Lynn Neal; one son, Douglas Jeanise; four brothers, Elray, Ivan, Maften and Roy Bergeaux; one sister, Eula Mae Lavergne; and one great-grandchild, Izeyah James Trahan.
