JENNINGS Mrs. Dolores Nall Fontenot Mrs. Dolores passed away at her home in Jennings, LA on Saturday, May 28th, at approximately seven in the evening, having been taken from us by cancer. She was born near Livonia, Louisiana on October 27th, 1936 and was 74. Mrs. Dolores served on the City Council for the Village of Grosse Tete and was Mayor Pro-Tem for same from 1982 to 1994, having been the first woman to ever be elected to a council seat in Iberville Parish. Five years after the passing of her first husband, she married Mr. Virgil Fontenot, and lived out her life as his best friend and wife. Mrs. Dolores is survived by her husband, Mr. Virgil, and one remaining sister, Rita Chauvin, the family of her daughter, Glenda Nall Scott, her husband Malcom, and their son Casey. The family of her son, Randell Nall, and his two daughters, Candace and Alyssa. Her step-children Michael Fontenot, his daughter Alexis, and wife Mickey. Don Fontenot, and his children Cade, and Kara. Cindy Fontenot Savoy, and her son Chase. Also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband Woodrow F. Nall, both of her parents, Leon and Josephine Canezaro, her brother Leroy Canezaro, sister Rosalie Leggerro, and her step-daughter Jamie Fontenot Allen. Her wake will be held at Miguez Funeral Home, Jennings on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; and 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Thursday. A rosary will begin the Jennings service. Carroll Dunn will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
