Dolores Marie Crochet

Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Dolores B. Crochet, 69 at 10 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation hours on Sunday will be from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Crochet died Friday, August 9, 2013 at 6:40 a.m. in Lafayette General Hospital. She was a native of Church Point, a resident of Jennings and was a homemaker. Mrs. Crochet was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved to cook, serve others, enjoyed dancing to French music and dearly loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Crochet is survived by three daughters; Ramona (Ron) Derouen, Phyllis Crochet, and Amanda Crochet all of Jennings, LA, her son; Chris (Lisha Bui) Crochet of Jennings, LA, two sisters; Evangeline (Jack) Blanchard of Richard, LA and Loretta (Percy) Crochet of Jennings, LA, five grandchildren; Mike (Andrea) Baker, Scot (Katie Heck) Baker, Britton (Dawn) Trahan and Brandon (Carrie Benoit) Trahan and Alex Pearce, five great-grandchildren; Brenen, Hanah, Lance Baker, Braedon Trahan and soon to be born, Brantley Trahan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Boudreaux, her husband, Melvin Crochet and two brothers, Milton and Charles Guidry. Pallbearers will be Chris Crochet, Michael Baker, Scot Baker, Britton Trahan, Brandon Trahan and Perry Gerbine. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Crochet, Chad Crochet and Peter Blanchard.
