Funeral services for Mr. Dewey Murlin Leckelt, 83, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 13, 2016 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Thomas Patterson officiating.

Burial will be in the Bluff Cemetery in Evangeline.

Funeral home visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.

Mr. Leckelt died at 8:39 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in his home in Evangeline.

Mr. Leckelt was a lifelong resident of Evangeline. He loved playing music, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include two brothers, Melvin Leckelt and wife Nell of Jennings and Nelvin Leckelt of Jennings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Leckelt is preceded in death by his parents, Peter Paul Godlipp(Jack) and Alice Lasage Leckelt; two sisters, Annie Cabra and Lorice Cormier; and three brothers, Herman Leckelt, Elson Leckelt and Richard Leckelt.
