Deveda Mae Stafford

JENNINGS Memorial services for Mrs. Deveda Taylor Stafford, 75, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Paul Estes officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until time of services in the funeral home. Mrs. Stafford died peacefully at 11:35 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family. Mrs. Stafford was a native of Briggs, Texas and a resident of Jennings 54 years. She was a graduate of the Briggs High School and she attended Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Stafford loved gardening and was an avid reader. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Stafford LeJeune and husband Sidney of Lake Charles, one son, Keith N. Stafford and wife Elizabeth L. of Metairie; and seven grandchildren, Michael N. Stafford, Katherine Elizabeth Stafford, Becky LeJeune Scalisi, Thomas W. LeJeune, Jennifer R. LeJeune, Allison B. LeJeune and Dana M. LeJeune. Mrs. Stafford was preceded in death by her husband, Murrell Newton Stafford, Jr.
