Funeral services for Miss Destiny Jade Montgomery, 16, of Lake Arthur will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.  The service will begin at 11:30 a.m.     with burial to follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Miss Montgomery will begin on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.

Destiny loved nursery rhymes with music, she was known and loved for her infectious smile and laugh.  Destiny brought great joy to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alan Montgomery and a beloved aunt, Jill Wallace.

Those left to cherish the memory of Destiny are her parents Christopher and Joy Wallace Montgomery; her maternal grandparents, Ricky and Vikki Wallace of Lake Arthur; paternal grandmother Candace (Robert) Hilliard of Whitehouse, TX; two aunts, Racely Wallace and Gina Jerkins; and two cousins, Kadence and Holland.

The family would like to especially thank Destiny’s caregivers, Windy Hebert, Evette Fontenot and Phyliss Reed, whose love and affection for Destiny was always apparent, as well as Complete Home Health.
