Desi Brooke Davis

Desira “Desi” Brooke Davis, of Jennings, LA, passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 44. 

Desi was born on October 10, 1980, to Ronald Shuff and Peggy Duhon Davis, in Crowley, Louisiana. She always had a smile and laugh that was contagious to those around her. Desi had that “hippie” soul and she loved her plants and always had her dog, Kane, by her side. She will never be forgotten; may she rest in peace. 

She is survived by her daughters, Mia Davis, Gracelyn Tramel and Jamie Tramel; sister, Kelly Cox; brother, Chad (Tasha) Shuff; cousins, Angel Humble, Jamie Racca, Shawn Racca and Kristin Laidlaw; nieces, Shelby, Taylor, Hannah, and Laicen; nephew, LJ; special friends, Megan Benoit and Margaret Smith; and numerous other cousins and extended family.

Desi was preceded in death by her parents; her fiancé, Brandon “Disco” Wise; and her step-father, ABOB Deshotel.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home. 

A memorial service to celebrate Desi’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Lake Arthur, LA, beginning at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Gerard Morgan officiating. Friends and family will have a fellowship from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
