Deola Daigle

Funeral services for Mrs. Deola Pousson Daigle, 96, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Daigle died at 6:45 p.m., Sunday, November 13, 2016 Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings.

Mrs. Daigle was a native of Egan and a resident of Jennings 75 years. She was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Iota. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Catholic Daughters. She and her husband were instrumental in the fundraising for the church parking lot.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Compton and husband Cecil of Hathaway, Brenda Fuselier and husband Ronnie of Elton, Diane Benoit and husband Trevor of Jennings,; six sons, Wayne Daigle, Larry Daigle and wife Denise of Panama City Beach, FL, Donald Daigle, Kurt Daigle, Karl Daigle, and Ricky Daigle all of Jennings and; 30 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Adras and Rosie Regan Pousson; and her husband, Mr. Albert Daigle; an infant daughter, three sisters, Una Pousson, Beulah Miller and Verda Fruge; six brothers, Eric, Hayes, Ervin, Maurice, Collins and Wallace Pousson.
