Private funeral services for Mr. Dennis Wade LeDoux, 80, will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in the Basile Protestant Cemetery.

Mr. LeDoux passed away at 6:05 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in the Jeff Davis Living Center.

He was a resident of Jennings for the past 10 years, moving here from Glenmora, LA. He was a retired music teacher with the Rapides Parish School System. He served as the minister at Glenmora Church of Christ for 26 years.

Mr. LeDoux had a passion for serving the Lord. Professionally he was a minister, but he loved working with the youth, particularly at CYE in Deridder, LA. He dedicated a large part of his life to ensure the camp was a place the kids loved to go. He spent time teaching campers to sing in four-part harmony giving them the gift to praise God through singing. Through his work as a public school music teacher, his Glenmora Children’s Choir won several prestigious awards at the state level. He shared his love of music with family, students and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Melva Borders LeDoux; his daughter, Lisa (Gregory) Trahan of Jennings; two sons, Scott (Melissa) LeDoux of Cypress, TX and Brent (Cheryl) LeDoux of Tucson, Az; two brothers, Wayne (Alacia) LeDoux of Kaufmann, Tx and Jerry (Ginny) LeDoux of Tulsa, OK; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Mr. LeDoux is preceded in death by his parents, Wilber “Buddy” and Bessie Brunet LeDoux, and his sister Peggy Johnson.
