Funeral services for Mrs. Rolley Melville (Della Ruth Gary) Person, 71, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary led by Melanie Hoffpauir will be recited at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Person died at 1:10 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Person was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1957. She worked as secretary/bookkeeper and was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic. She was a member of Womens Professional Business Association and was an active bowler, played baseball and coached many children in Jennings. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Rolley M. Person of Jennings; three daughters, Rhonda Elizabeth Duhon and husband Edward of Walker, Rollie Anna Faul and husband David of Welsh, Mary Suzanne Hughes and husband John of Shreveport; one son, Melville Clint Person and wife Rachael of Jennings; two sisters, JoAnna Gary Parsley and husband Kelly of Evangeline, Jeanette Gary Briggs and husband Mike of Jennings; four brothers, Robert L. Gary and wife Dorothy of Jennings, Charles F. Gary and wife Peggy of Lake Charles, Fred J. Gary and wife Peggy of Moss Bluff and Michael L. Gary and wife Peggy of Jennings; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Person was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Loris Fruge Gary, and one son, Gregory Cord Person.
