Funeral services for David Wade Babineaux, 33 of Lake Arthur will be held in Jennings on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mr. Babineaux will begin on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. It will resume Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.
Mr. Babineaux was born in Crowley on December 18, 1987. He was a high school graduate. He worked as a plumber and auto mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding horses, atvs, working cattle, music and tattoos. He also loved his mechanic work. David was happiest just being in the country and outdoors.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ken (Kristi) Babineaux of Jennings and Stephanie (David) Coles Guidry of Lake Arthur; his soulmate, Michelle Lantz; two sons, Kamiron Chaisson and Austin Babineaux, both of Jennings; three sisters, Katie Babineaux of Jennings, Skylar Benoit of Hathaway and Mercades Prater of Lake Arthur; four brothers, Kain Babineaux of Baton Rouge, Ryan Courville of Jennings, DeaMarcus Prater of Lafayette and Jaquan Prater of Lake Charles; two step brothers, Dylan and Devan Guidry; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Aline Babineaux of Hathaway; maternal grandparents, Keith “Ed” and Kay Coles of Jennings and his honorary stepmom Kristal Benoit.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Theresa Ardoin Coles.
