David T. "Dago" Fruge

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. David T. Dago Fruge, (59) will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Don Gott officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. today, Monday, until 9:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. Mr. Fruge died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Fruge was a lifelong resident of Evangeline and a retired welder. He loved to fish and hunt, especially his trips with his son to Kansas. He also loved tending to his animals. He was a kind and gentle man and loved spending time with his family and the granddaughter who dearly loved her Pa. Survivors include his wife, Oneda Kimball Fruge; one son, Deron Fruge and fianc Courtney of Iota; his mother, Cecile Daigle Fruge of Evangeline; 3 sisters, Darlene Breaux and fianc George of Evangeline, Betty Ardoin and husband Gerald of Iota, Cyndi Lyons and fianc Charlie of Evangeline; 3 brothers, Don Paul Daigle and wife Cookie of Evangeline, Randy Fruge of Iota, Harold Fruge and wife Darlene of Gotts Cove; and one granddaughter, Kalli Fruge. Pallbearers will be Deron Fruge, Don Daigle, Harold Fruge, Shane Hebert, Jay Duhon, John Chatagnier, Caleb Breaux and Conrad Breaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Kalli Fruge, Cole Breaux and Cade Murphy.
