Darryl Ray Dosier

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2022, for Darryl Ray Dosier, 87, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Sonnier officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.

Mr. Dosier, a native of Lake Charles and long time resident of Jennings, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Monday, December 26^th, 2022 in his residence.

Mr. Dosier was a 1954 graduate of Jennings High School, 1958 graduate of McNeese State University, 1959 Officers Candidate School, Fort Benning, Georgia, and Command and General Staff School, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas in 1969.

He proudly served with the LA National Guard for over 25 years, retiring with the rank of Major.

Mr. Dosier is survived by his wife, Geraldine Cormier Dosier; one sister, Carolyn Mitchell and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sampson Arnold Dosier and Marie Mathilda Whiddon Dosier and one brother, Larry W. Dosier.
