Funeral services for Mr. Darren James Gary, 54, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial will be in the Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Gary died at 6:30 a.m., Monday, September 30,2019 in his residence.

He was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a high school graduate.  He was a production operator in the oil industry.  He enjoyed riding horses, shooting pool, camping, dancing and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Lopez Gary of Jennings; one daughter, Dyllan (Zack) Royle of Welsh; two sons, Damien (Christina Simon) Chaisson of Youngsville, Dustin Thibodeaux of Roanoke; three sisters, Roxanna Gary of Mermentau, Sharon (Gary) LeBlanc of Welsh, Donna (Earl) Thibodeaux of Evangeline; two brothers, Brian (Brenda) Gary of Moss Bluff, Mark (Tiffany) Gary of Denham Springs; sisters-in-law, Brenda Gary and Darla (Mike) Beardmore; four grandchildren, Stormi Thibodeaux, Lilie Trahan, Wyatt Royle, and baby Royle on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Jane Sonnier Gary; and brother, Dwain Gary.
