Danny Paul Parsley

EVANGELINE Private graveside service for Danny Paul Parsley, 52, were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the St. Josephs Catholic Church Cemetery with Rev. D. Blaine Clement officiating. The private graveside service was the wishes of Mr. Parsley. The service was under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Parsley died at 5:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Parsley was a native of Jennings living in the Crowley/Evangeline area 40 years moving there from Anchorage, Alaska. He was a graduate of the Iota High School class of 1976; was a crane operator, and he served in the U.S. Air Force for two years in Spain during the Vietnam area. Mr. Parsley never met a stranger and was always willing to help those who needed. He enjoyed playing drums and music. He loved his family. Survivors include his son, Trevor Parsley of Crowley; his mother, Mona Benoit Trahan and step-father, Felix of Evangeline; two sisters, Rhonda Gail Burger and husband Steve of Evangeline, Sharlene Ann Istre and husband Clifford of Evangeline; one brother, Arthur James (Jody) Parsley, Jr. of Evangeline and grandmother, Lois McFarlain Benoit also of Evangeline. Mr. Parsley was preceded in death by his father, Arthur James Jimmy Parsley, one brother, Michael Dale Parsley, one, sister, Darla Ann Parsley; one daughter, Hillary Parsley, grandparents, Leo Benoit, Henry and Alamonde Parsley.
