JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Lee Broussard, 66, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Broussard died at 4:54 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Burial with military graveside honors will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Broussard was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a high school graduate. He was a retired production operator in the oil industry. He loved his grandchildren, spending time with his family, loved his chickens, duck hunting, going to cattle shows, and playing cards. He was the board chairman for the Vietnam veterans. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Leger Broussard of Welsh; one daughter, Torrey Klein of Jennings; two sons, Travis and wife Cassie of Hathaway, Trevor Broussard and wife Brooke of Kinder; two sisters, Shirley Gary of Jennings, Kathrine Diane Broussard of Sulphur; one brother, Bobby Broussard and wife Theresa of Hathaway; and ten grandchildren, Tristan and Trey Broussard, Tresslyn Landry, Tatum, Taven and Tylee Broussard, Aidan, Oliver,and Vincent Mcquaig,and Emma Broussard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Emma LeJeune Broussard; and three sisters, Geraldine Linscombe, Shelba Jean Kratzer and Jeanelle Dronet.
