JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Dallas J. Camel, 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Camel died at approximately 3:10 p.m., Saturday, September 17, 2011. Mr. Camel was a lifelong resident of Jennings, a graduate of the Roanoke High School class of 1954. He was a crane operator for the shipyards and was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Natilda Monger Camel of Jennings; one daughter, Paulette Camel of Jennings; two sons, Maurice Paul Camel and wife Belinda of Sulphur, Blane Joseph Camel and wife Amber of Fort Worth and six grandchildren, Kelli, Courtney, and Kristen Camel and fiance Garrett LeJeune, Crystal (Cliff) Vanicor, and Rusty Orgeron, Savannah Camel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Edorise Richard Camel.
