Cynthia Broussard Bannister

The family of Ms. Cynthia Broussard Bannister, 69, of Hathaway, LA, passed away peacefully in her home on June 21, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Her family has chosen to honor her wishes of cremation. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday June 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Following the mass, inurnment will take place in Raymond Community Cemetery.

Cynthia was born on June 14, 1955, in Jennings, LA, to Barbara and Daniel Broussard. She worked in broadcasting at 98.1 The Eagle in Baton Rouge, LA. Later, she worked as an Executive Assistant Dehyco Inc., for 23 years, which she retired from. She loved her family deeply and cherished every minute with them. You can often find her reading her books and loving on her cats, Squeaker, Sissy, and Pepper.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Barbara Broussard; brothers, Danny (Stephanie) Broussard, Brent (Kelly) Broussard, Blaine Broussard and Michael Broussard; Sister-in-Law, Bridget Broussard; Nieces and Nephews, Amy, Blake, Rush, Claire, Courtney, Brandon, Karley and Jenna; Numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Eugene Broussard.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Jeff Davis Home Health, Heart of Hospice, and her personal caretakers, Bridget, Mayhosha, Nichole, Erica and Kendra for the love and care they have given her. As well as Dr. Brian Wilder, Nurse Kayleigh and the rest of their staff for the extraordinary care they gave to Cynthia. Their love and compassion will never be forgotten.
