Corey Lee Johnson

Funeral services for Corey Lee Johnson, 30, of Jennings will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Miguez Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Clifton LeJeune officiating. Cremation will follow under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 12 at 2:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m. It will resume at 8:00 a.m. Thursday morning until the time of service.

Corey was a very family- oriented person and his family and friends meant everything to him. He adored his nieces and nephews and he was sometimes called “a Mama’s boy” in fun. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and lived his life to the fullest. His presence will be missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother Tina Johnson Morvant and stepfather Billy Jack Morvant; and two brothers, Trey Morvant and Jared Morvant all of Roanoke; Paternal grandparents, Bill and Diane Corbello of El Campo, TX and Romona Parker of Jennings; Maternal grandmother, Kathy Johnson of Jennings; grandparents, Alvin and Connie Morvant and grandmother, Darlene Lopez. Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Denis Brady; Aunt Sirena and Uncle Michael Morvant; Nannie Jessica Morvant and Aunt Silena and Uncle Blain Gary and numerous cousins.

Corey was preceded in death by his father, Shannon Corbello and maternal grandfather, Ernest Johnson.
