Miss Coliste Marie Sonnier joined her loved ones in heaven on December 26, 2021, at age 81.

Miss Sonnier was born on June 6, 1940, in Jennings to her parents, Ferdinand and Atta Fontenot Sonnier.  She lived in Jennings her entire life and spent her time as a homemaker and raising her children.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two daughters, Diana Ryan of Jasper, TX and Shirley (Darrell) Guillory of Estherwood, LA; two son, Kulian (Michele) Spell of Jennings and Bobby Spell, Jr. of Gueydan; sister Laura Henricks of Livingston, TX; brother, Dalton Sonnier of Eunice; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Elsie Anderson, Atta Ford and Elaine Benoit; one brother, Delton Sonnier and one grandchild, Kelian Spell.

In honor of Miss Sonnier’s wishes, her family has chosen cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
