Cody Joe Leger, a directional driller and lifelong resident of Welsh, LA, died unexpectedly April 3, 2022, at the age of 43.
He is survived by his daughters, Gracie Leger, Kaytlyn Leger and Amelia Leger all of Welsh, his sons, Landon Leger of Welsh, Cameron Leger of Lake Charles and Cayson Leger of Welsh; his sister, Brandy (Kelly Hoffpauir) Leger; his brothers, Homer Leger Jr. (Chantell) of Marksville, Dacota Miguez, Blane Miguez and Shawn Miguez all of Welsh; four nephews; ten nieces; one great-niece and his stepfather Leon Miguez of Welsh.
He is preceded is death by his father, Homer Leger Sr.; his mother Danette Abshire Miguez; and his stepmother, Janie Leger.
CoJo as those who knew and loved him called him, was born Dec. 21, 1978, to Homer and Danette. He attended school in Welsh. He was a devoted father who enjoyed life and cherished his children. He had an infectious personality and loved to joke around. He enjoyed a little of everything and could fix anything if necessary. He gave his all to everything he did. He will be missed by many. He was one of a kind, who would help anyone he could. He lived simply and was full of adventure.
Funeral services will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, on Friday April 8, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with Bro. Pat Deshotel officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of service, with a rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. He will be cremated as per his request.
Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
