Mr. Clyde Denson Sheffield, Jr., 76, of Jennings passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 5, 2019.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 in the Pisgah Baptist Church in Florien with Rev. C.M. Kelly officiating.

He was born on June 16, 1943 in Rifle, Colorado to parents, Clyde and Jean Ferguson Sheffield, Sr.  Mr. Sheffield was career military and served in the Marines proudly earning three Purple Hearts.  After his retirement, Mr. Sheffield spent his time rebuilding bicycles and computers. He also enjoyed reupholstery and spent many happy hours working on cars and furniture.

He is survived by his wife, Rita O’Blanc Sheffield; two daughters, Sandra Gay Sheffield of San Diego, CA and Diane Lawrence of Many; one son, Clayton Sheffield of Houston; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Shane Sheffield and Cheyenne Sheffield and two sisters, Karen Noyes and Susan Sheffield.

Mr. Sheffield’s cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
