Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Louis Miller, 80, of Jennings, will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in the Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Buddy Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation for Mr. Miller will begin on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. It will resume on Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church until service time at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Miller was born on June 7, 1941, in Iota to parents, Louis Miller and Lorecia Doucet Miller. He passed away on September 14, 2021, at his residence in Jennings.
He was a high school graduate and lived in the community for his entire life. He served his country proudly as a member in the US Army. Mr. Miller loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. This also included his church family and attending church. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 56 years, Dorma Litton Miller; daughters, Kimberly (Timothy) Aucoin of Patterson and Elizabeth (Todd) Sonnier of Jennings; son Chad Miller of Jennings; three brothers, Daniel Miller of Groves, TX, Ted (Amelia) Miller of Jennings and Reive Miller of Jennings; seven grandchildren, Jacob Aucoin, Sara Aucoin, Zachary Aucoin, Dylan Miller, Riilan Miller, Noah Sonnier, and Emily Sonnier; and one great grandchild, Zachary Aucoin, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Iris Boril and Rena Miller; two brothers, Ervin Miller and Hilary Miller.
