Clyde Joseph Gunter

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Joseph Gunter, 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Jack Harris officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until time of services Saturday. Mr. Gunter died at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at his residence in Jennings. Mr. Gunter was a native of Jennings where he graduated high school. He also was a graduate of LSU. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. After a long career as a realtor in Houston, Texas he relocated back to Jennings. Mr. Gunter is survived by a nephew, Robert Boyd Gauthier and wife Abbey along with their children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ruby McCall Gauthier; brothers, Jessee Boyd Gauthier, Gordon McCall Gauthier; and sister Forest Fern Gauthier. The family would like to thank the many close friends and neighbors that were very generous with their time, friendship, and companionship. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Oustalet, Tim Gatte, Randy Prather, Herman Monceaux, great nephew Coy Gauthier and Robert Gauthier.
