The family of Mr. Clyde Gene Guidry sadly announces the loss of their loved one on Saturday January 23, 2021. Mr. Clyde passed away in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Mr. Clyde was born February 28, 1937 in Bell City, LA to Mr. Valrie and Alice Conner Guidry, Sr. He lived in Lake Arthur all of his life and served honorably in the U.S. Army. After the service, he worked as a superintendent in the oil industry. He was a hardworking man who loved his family and even extended family. He loved to do woodwork and being outside working while watching his grandkids play.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristi (Steven) Odstrcil of Lake Arthur and Mary (David) Thomas of Houston, TX; and grandchildren, Tyson Broussard, Brady Broussard, Paige Guidry, Jessica Odstrcil, Jillianna Odstrcil and Denton Lisenby; and nine great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Jane Guidry; his parents, and one brother, Valrie Guidry, Jr.

The family is honoring Mr. Clyde’s wishes by having him cremated under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
