The family of Mr. Clifford Paul Crochet, Jr., 92, of Jennings, announces his passing on May 19, 2023. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until the time to depart for church at 12:45. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. in the Miguez Chapel. 

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Keith Pellerin officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. 

Mr. Clifford was born on July 8, 1930, in Jennings, Louisiana, to Clifford Crochet, Sr. and Lorena Marie LeJeune. He worked most of his life as an accountant in the Oil and Gas Industry for ExxonMobil. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in which he was active in the Faith Renewal Movement and RCIA. He enjoyed camping, traveling to the mountains, and fishing. You could often find him watching his favorite sports teams, LSU and the St. Louis Cardinals. Mr. Clifford was a family man, he loved spending time with his wife Betty, the love of his life, and his children whom he cherished. He also served proudly in the U.S. Army. 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Betty Dupont Crochet; daughters, Dana (Harlan) Miller of Jennings and Paulette (Scott) Bussey of Cankton, LA; son, Jeffrey (Kathy) Chiasson of Aztec, NM; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Emmerline Broussard, Elodie Papillon, Ellen Crochet, and Hellen Crochet.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ochsner American Legion Hospital and the staff at Jeff Davis Living Center for the love and compassion they have given to Mr. Clifford and his family. 

In Lieu of Flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
