Clifford Lee Lapoint

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Clifford Lee LaPoint, 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m., at the Trinity Baptist Church in Turkey Creek with Bro. Eddie Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Platin Road Cemetery in Ville Platte under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will in the Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., today, Wednesday and then will resume Thursday in the Trinity Baptist Church in Turkey Creek at 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Mr. LaPoint died at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his residence in Lake Arthur. Mr. LaPoint was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and was a heavy equipment operator in the construction business. Survivors include his wife, Stella Marie Maricle LaPoint of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Tina Ledine Fruge of DeRidder; two sons, Shane LaPoint of Turkey Creek, Chad LaPoint of Cameron; Godchildren, Stacey Mitchell Guidry and Kayden Isaiah Bertrand Bruner; two brothers, Norman LaPoint of Lake Arthur, Robert LaPoint of Longmont, Co; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. LaPoint was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Evelyn Trahan Lapoint; his first wife, Geraldine Guillory LaPoint and one grandson, Blakley LaPoint.
