JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Claude Lamb, 89, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2008 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Masters officiating. Burial with military graveside honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. Mr. Lamb died at 2:57 a.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2008 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Lamb was a lifelong resident of Jennings, and a graduate of the Jennings High School. He was a World War II Veteran, Army Sergeant in European Theater, 1942 until 1946. He was an auto mechanic for Howards Water Well Service, retired Automotive Instructor at Louisiana Technical College (Morgan Smith Campus) and was a former employee for Republic Auto Parts. Mr. Lamb was a member of the James O. Hall American Legion Post # 19, Veterans of Foreign War, Elks Club and the Popeyes Coffee Club. Mr. Lamb loved to garden, raise blueberries, and make leather key chains. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ardis Duncan Lamb of Jennings; three daughters, Claudia Lamb of Sulphur, Peggy Moss and husband John of Zachary, LA, and Nancy Harrison and husband Jerry of Pearl, MS; one son, Jon Lamb and wife Jodi of Jennings; two sisters, Mary Jane Burgess of Houston, TX and Virginia Lanz of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren, Sarah Louviere, Ben Moss, Kelly Moss, Jennifer Harrison, Brian Harrison, Matthew Lamb, Aaron Lamb and Andrew Lamb. Pallbearers will be his five grandsons and two sons-in-law. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter C. Lamb and Alma Lamb Kurtz; two brothers, Lewis (Lou) Lamb, Harry Lamb, two sisters, Elizabeth Whitehurst and Margaret Lamb. Words of comfort may be expressed at www.miguezfuneralhome.com.
