Clarice Marie Barousse

Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Clarice Barousse, 91 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwod Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mrs. Barousse died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 2:22 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Funeral home visitation on Friday, September 27, 2013 will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Barousse was a native of Cankton and resident of Jennings for over twenty-five years. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her word puzzles, painting and her porcelain dolls. She is survived by a daughter; Shirley (James) LeJeune of Jennings, LA, her grandchildren, JD Thibodeaux, Tina Clement, Mark Clement, Derek LeJeune, Kaide LeJeune, Charissa Abshire, Monica Mitchell and Melissa Graham, 17 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barousse was preceded in death by her husbands; Varice Bourgeois and John Barousse, three daughters, Laura Thibodeaux, Mary Dupuis and Charlotte Sue Ritchie, two grandchildren, DJ Thibodeaux and Patty Guidry, one great grandchild, Mallory Abshire, six sisters, Alice Menard, Laris Myers, Belzie Courville, Hazel Guilbeau, Eugenia Matthews and Wilma Patin and one brother, Isaac Menard. Pallbearers will be Derek LeJeune, JD Thibodeaux, Mark Clement, Dustin Abshire, Dave Graham and Randall McClelland. Honorary Pallbearer will be Kaide LeJeune.
