Funeral services for Mr. Clarence “Bill” William Britt, 83 of Jennings will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Carol and Carl Guidry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Britt will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 15 and continue until his service at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Britt passed away February 5, 2020 at his home in Jennings with loved ones by his side. 

A lifelong resident of Jennings, he was a rice and soybean farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and after his retirement he became an avid gardener.  In his earlier years he taught night classes in welding at the vo-tech school.  He loved animals and had numerous hunting dogs and at one time he raised Labrador retrievers. At the time of his death he had two furry companions, Millie and Wiggles.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Terri Britt of Lafayette, Joni (Stanley) Layman of Pennsylvania, Marjorie (Charles) Morvant of Jennings; a son, William “Billy” Britt of Jennings; sisters, Norma Jean Broussard and Shirlene Britt of Jennings; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a dear family friend Don Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Bertrand Britt; his parents, Clarence Everett and Rosa Koll Britt; three sisters, Joyce Doherty, Beulah “Dickie” Meche and Margarite Britt and one brother, Eugene “Buddy” Britt.
