Lake Arthur

Mr. Clarence Bertrand, 87 of Lake Arthur passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  He was born on November 27, 1933 in Lake Arthur, the son of Joseph and Amy Guidry Bertrand.  He was the surviving member of his family having buried his five sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Bertrand lived in the Lake Arthur community his entire life and graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 1952.  He served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War.  After returning home he worked in the maintenance dept of city government.

Mr. Bertrand leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters, JoElla (Lonnie) Kibodeaux of Alvin, TX and Charlotte (John) Soileau of Lake Arthur; one son, Garyn (Wendi) Bertrand of Tulsa, OK; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cathy Greenlee; five sisters and three brothers.

His cremation is being handled under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
