JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Hesse Dommert, 94, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, 2010 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Betty McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 12 noon until time of services Sunday. Mrs. Dommert died at 8:05 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 in the Jeff Davis Living Center, Jennings. Mrs. Dommert was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of the Jennings High School, class of 1935. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as Church Historian and choir member. She was a Gray Lady at the hospital prior to the Pink Ladies being formed. She was a charter member of the Entre Nous and was memorial chairperson for over 30 years for the Cancer Society. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Booth and husband Donald of Lake Charles; one son, Kirk Dommert and wife Nancy of Jennings; one sister, Marguerite Brunt of Texas City, TX, three grandchildren, Scott Booth, Sammy Booth and Heidi Fisher; four great-granddaughters, Hannah Abshire, Sarah Booth, Katherine Booth and Julee Fisher. Mrs. Dommert is preceded in death by her husband, Charles William C.W. Dommert, her grandson, David Dommert, parents, Henry Bernhard and Elizabeth Huber Hesse, five brothers and four sisters. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers will be Don, Scott and Sammy Booth, Donald Hine, Charlie Williams, Burt Tietje and Billy Fisher.
