Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Charles M. Gill, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., April 27, 2009 in the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Revs. John Couch and Peter Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings Funeral home visitation on Saturday, April 25, 2009 will be at Miguez Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday visitation will be at the Cornerstone Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Monday visitation will be at the Cornerstone Baptist Church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Gill died Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2:30 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Gill was a native of Eunice, La. and lifelong resident of Jennings. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and was active in the Baptist Missions on Wheels. Mr. Gill was a welder for The Superior Oil Company/Mobil for forty years. Survivors include his wife, Lou Ellen Smith Gill of Jennings; three daughters, Marsha Benoit of Jennings, La., Shyrel Conner and husband Steven Black of Lake Arthur and Linda Bollich and husband Michael Bull of Tee Mamou; a son, Charles D. Chuck Gill and wife, Margie of Baton Rouge; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
