Funeral services for Mr. Charles Joseph Jeanise, 86, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sharon Stewart officiating.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 18, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Jeanise passed away on Friday May 15, 2020 in the Sabine Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Mr. Jeanise was resident of Many since 1981. He honorably served our country in the United States Army.  He also served the citizens for over 30 years retiring as a Captain with the Baton Rouge Fire Department. He loved to hunt, fish garden, do carpentry work, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.  He was known as a wonderful cheater at all games that he played.

Survivors include his two daughters, Jacquita (Kemp) Amacker of Zachary, LA, Charln (Mike) Stewart of Houston, TX; two sons, Carl (Rebekah) Jeanise of Many, LA, Joey (Tammy) Jeanise of Kinder, LA and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lawrence Jeanise; his parents Ellery and Rita Jeanise and one brother, Carl Jeanise.
